Software Developer, ERP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain features within business management applications, encompassing backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.

• Decompose well-defined tasks into manageable steps, execute them, and highlight trade-offs.

• Design and execute database models, queries, and schema modifications while ensuring data integrity, performance, and maintainability.

• Familiarize yourself with existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and implement dependable solutions.

• Deploy with testing, oversee production releases, and address any issues that arise.

• Participate in code reviews and gain insights from feedback.

• Keep the team and lead updated through status reports and early identification of risks.

• Learn from senior engineers and provide assistance to junior engineers.

• Collaborate with seasoned engineers to produce reliable, high-quality software for ERP and business management applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.

• Solid computer science fundamentals grounded in a computer science degree or equivalent work experience in software development.

• Proficient in developing backend services and APIs.

• Some experience in front-end development.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.

• A keen focus on execution and product delivery.

• Exceptional attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and long-term objectives.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where learning and adaptability are essential.

• Experience with Python and Django, along with Next.js or React (preferred but not required).

• Background in ERP, accounting, or other business management software (preferred but not required).

• Some familiarity with C++ or another compiled language (preferred but not required).
