This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with UI, encoding/decoding, networking, input, and various components across multiple platforms.

• Dive into a C codebase from day one and deploy code to over 5 million users.

• Develop state-of-the-art gaming technology, encompassing video rendering and UDP protocols.

• Discover optimal low-latency solutions to technical obstacles.

• Gather customer feedback and analyze the broader community requirements.

• Spot opportunities to provide an outstanding customer experience.

• Foster innovation within Parsec’s core technology.

• Guide and mentor fellow Parsec engineers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Practical experience in a production C codebase.

• Knowledge of Windows desktop application development.

• A strong willingness to learn, enhance a product, and ensure customer satisfaction.

• Experience collaborating with a globally distributed team.

• Proficient in English for professional verbal and written communication.

• Familiarity with macOS app development, including IOKit, CoreGraphics, window/input management, and deploying native applications on macOS (bonus).

• Understanding of Linux/Ubuntu app development (bonus).

• Knowledge of Windows and Mac driver development (bonus).

• Experience in the video game industry or extensive personal gaming experience (bonus).

• Must reside in Canada; work visa or immigration sponsorship is not offered.
