Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Create a network management service capable of monitoring millions of devices.

• Design microservice architectures that are consistent, scalable, high-quality, and fault-tolerant.

• Deploy and oversee containerized applications utilizing Kubernetes.

• Develop and implement communication protocols for highly scalable distributed systems.

• Write reliable and high-performance code for collectors deployed at tens of thousands of customer locations.

• Utilize AI-driven techniques, intelligent tooling, automation, and data-informed debugging to address engineering challenges.

• Create tools using NetFlow, Syslog, and other networking standards.

• Enhance the solution by leveraging knowledge of networking devices and protocols.

• Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to provide customer-oriented software components.

• Guide and mentor junior and intermediate team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in developing quality code and architectures, preferably with C++ or Golang.

• Experience in designing and developing microservices.

• Familiarity with cloud computing, preferably AWS.

• Background in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software utilizing Kafka.

• In-depth technical, hands-on engineering experience applying AI to resolve complex issues.

• Capability to write high-quality production code and debug across distributed systems.

• Proficiency in agile methodologies, such as Scrum.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.

• Passion for mentoring junior and intermediate team members.

• Eagerness to explore new technologies and provide recommendations.

• Commitment to following processes and proposing enhancements.

• Ability to collaboratively write elegant, scalable, modern code.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
