Software Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather and document software requirements from internal stakeholders, clients, and subject matter experts.

• Convert business needs into functional specifications for the engineering team.

• Organize and conduct interviews and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements.

• Create and present findings, requirements, and proposed solutions effectively.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Collaborate with software engineers and QA throughout the development lifecycle.

• Write user stories and acceptance criteria, keeping them updated on the Azure DevOps Scrum board.

• Prioritize and groom the product backlog in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the engineering team.

• Manage expectations and communicate updates, risks, and trade-offs.

• Prepare release notes, training materials, and both internal and external feature documentation.

• Stay informed on trends in the healthcare and ophthalmology software industry, as well as competitive and regulatory developments.

• Collect user feedback post-release and identify opportunities for enhancements.

• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of Agile practices, templates, and documentation standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven ability to perform gap analysis between current and desired business processes to uncover the root problem behind a stated request.

• Experience in creating process flow diagrams, wireframes, or mockups to align stakeholders prior to development.

• Established experience in maintaining traceability of requirements across specifications, user stories, and test cases.

• Support QA and user acceptance testing by developing test scenarios and cases, ensuring delivered features meet acceptance criteria.

• Background in software or SaaS products in healthcare, EMR, or medical practice management preferred.

• Familiarity with SQL and API/data concepts, or sufficient technical knowledge to discuss system design with engineers.

• Experience in creating wireframes or mockups using tools like Figma or Visio preferred.
