Software Architect – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop and refine the architectural vision for innovative products, platforms, and technological initiatives.

• Investigate emerging technologies, perform technical evaluations, and lead Proof of Concept projects.

• Create scalable cloud-native, distributed, and hybrid architectural designs.

• Set architectural standards, best practices, and engineering guidelines.

• Direct the technical design of intricate enterprise and high-load systems.

• Specify technology stacks and architectural principles for new solutions.

• Contribute to solutions leveraging AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, and intelligent automation.

• Recognize technical risks and formulate mitigation strategies.

• Assist engineering teams in addressing complex technical issues and making architectural decisions.

• Conduct architecture reviews and assessments of technical solutions.

• Play a role in shaping technical strategy, product roadmaps, and the long-term evolution of products.

• Facilitate technology transformation and product modernization efforts.

• Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders on architecture and technology strategies.

• Mentor technical leads and senior engineers.

• Influence engineering culture, development processes, and DevOps practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software development, architecture, and the evolution of products, platforms, and enterprise solutions.

• Over 4 years in roles such as Software Architect, Enterprise Architect, Engineering Director, or a similar architectural position.

• Profound understanding of modern architectural patterns, software design principles, and distributed systems.

• Experience in defining architectural vision and steering strategic technology decisions.

• Proven track record in evaluating technologies and architectural methods based on business objectives, scalability, total cost of ownership, and long-term sustainability.

• Experience leading distributed engineering teams and technical initiatives.

• History of driving architectural initiatives across products, platforms, or teams.

• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, and business stakeholders.

• Experience in establishing architectural standards and engineering best practices.

• Proficiency in designing cloud-native, distributed, and scalable systems.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Experience in architecting highly available, resilient, enterprise-level solutions.

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and API-first design.

• Strong background in hands-on software development.

• Familiarity with CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.

• Experience with contemporary programming languages, cloud technologies, and enterprise platforms.

• Expertise in end-to-end product and platform delivery.

• Practical knowledge across relevant cloud, container, programming, frontend, data, messaging, DevOps, automation, observability, and monitoring technologies.

• Experience with AI/ML, Generative AI, LLM, RAG, or intelligent automation is a plus.

• Professional certifications in architecture, cloud platforms, or software engineering are an advantage.
