Software Architect – Java/PHP

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design technical solutions, services, and interfaces.

• Oversee projects to ensure seamless integration of solutions with related systems.

• Lead processes, coordinating and adjusting activities to achieve desired outcomes.

• Develop and implement information technology systems by defining requirements and functionalities.

• Manage the IT environment and establish relevant standards.

• Plan and carry out system testing.

• Document and secure approval for the project scope, context, and constraints.

• Aid stakeholder decision-making by providing information that aligns with overall objectives.

• Define and document the system’s architecture and layout.

• Establish and document strategies, standards, and guidelines to guide system development.

• Ensure that the architecture addresses the quality attributes of the system.

• Develop the architectural description.

• Assist in ensuring that the architecture is implemented through to system completion.

• Provide technical leadership throughout the project.

• Stay engaged throughout the entire development lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field emphasizing software development or software engineering; or a postgraduate degree with at least 360 instructional hours in a software development or software engineering-focused program.

• Preferably 8 years of experience as a full-stack developer and as a Java and/or PHP Architect and Technical Lead, with a focus on the technical skills required for this role.

• Experience in teams that follow a DevOps philosophy.

• Familiarity with agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban.

• Understanding of functional, non-functional, and agile requirements analysis.

• Proficiency in relational data modeling.

• Knowledge of technologies including Spring, JPA, Angular, JSF, Maven (Java), PHP 5 and later versions, HTML5, CSS3, Java, automated testing, web application security, microservices, Linux, application server configuration, continuous integration, and containerization.

• Certification is not mandatory; however, Associate Traditional Web Developer or Associate Reactive Developer certifications are noted as relevant.
