Software Architect – Healthcare AI, Cloud Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop architectures, best practices, templates, standards, guidelines, and models that support both one- and five-year payer market strategies and business growth objectives.

• Create application and database architectures that are optimized for scalability, configurability, compliance, and modular reuse across both cloud and on-premises platforms.

• Integrate AI and LLM methodologies into transactional applications, combining both unstructured and structured data.

• Evaluate applications and databases for scalability, devising solutions to address performance bottlenecks and growth challenges.

• Assess new application development technologies.

• Develop proof of concepts for applications, services, and components utilizing innovative scalable data architectures.

• Analyze both manual and automated business processes, suggesting enhancements to productivity, quality, flexibility, and throughput.

• Support business proposal creation and presentations directed at management and clients.

• Mentor and train development teams, providing expert guidance.

• Deliver Level 3 production support as required.

• Contribute to project planning, implement Agile methodologies, and oversee daily planning and execution.

• Act as a representative for technology in executive meetings, cross-functional governance sessions, and client-facing solution presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of experience in software technology.

• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on products/platforms.

• Proven experience in launching two or more successful, long-term enterprise-scale platforms in a regulated, data-driven industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science.

• Strong business acumen and domain knowledge of U.S. healthcare systems.

• In-depth understanding of the U.S. healthcare payer domain, particularly in claims processing, adjudication, and payment integrity.

• Familiarity with HIPAA, CMS audit requirements, and healthcare data interoperability.

• Experience in developing platforms that scale across extensive healthcare client portfolios.

• Proven expertise in modernizing legacy systems into modular, API-first, scalable platforms.

• Excellent communication skills, executive presence, and a strong ability to tell compelling stories.

• Capability to lead through influence, ambiguity, and complexity.

• Experience in mentoring and fostering culture within global team environments.

• Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, .NET, web technologies, and real-time pipeline orchestration.

• Competency in at least two additional programming languages.

• Familiarity with Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and various database types including columnar, distributed, graph, temporal, document, and vector databases; ORM; and HA/DR topologies.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT pipeline tools and data quality measures.

• Experience with high-volume transactions, streaming, and concurrency management.

• Understanding of OCR, unstructured data parsing, and event-driven workflows.

• Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and KPI-driven dashboards.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, PII handling, and audit frameworks.

• Experience with GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, and automated deployment and testing pipelines.

• Familiarity with generative AI, Agentic AI, NLP, prompt engineering, and LLM frameworks.

• Experience in both Windows and Linux environments.

• Knowledge of Azure services including ADF, Databricks, ADLS, Synapse, API architecture, and microservices.

• AWS experience is an added advantage.
