Software Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Make architectural decisions within the accepted and agreed-upon software framework for all services, focusing on performance, security, and stability.

• Provide guidance to ITZBund and take charge of the implementation, integration, and testing strategy for the software architecture.

• Define the requirements for external software products.

• Communicate and coordinate architectural decisions with stakeholders in collaboration with ITZBund.

• Align software architecture designs with the Client.

• Advise the ITZBund specialist department and design team on specifying technical requirements, assessing technical effort, and identifying complexity drivers.

• Continuously enhance development architecture and processes.

• Prepare and present documentation for information and decision-making.

• Organize and facilitate knowledge transfer to employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expert-level experience as an architect in enterprise projects.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Java, Spring, and the Spring Boot Framework.

• Profound understanding of service-oriented architectures.

• In-depth expertise in microservice architectures.

• Extensive knowledge of service composition and process orchestration.

• Strong familiarity with relational databases.

• Detailed knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes and OpenShift, or comparable cloud platforms.

• Proficient in container virtualization technologies like Docker or equivalent solutions.

• Expert understanding of complex projects involving numerous individual components and their configurations.

• Advanced knowledge of dependency management tools such as Maven, NPM, or similar technologies.

• Proficient with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Extensive knowledge of Apache Tomcat.

• Expertise in distributed infrastructure components, including geo-redundancy.

• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated practical experience.

• Must be based in Germany.

• Fluent in oral and written German at a C2 level.

• Proficient in English at a communicative level.
