Social Sciences Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish daily connections with students through caring and proactive outreach.

• Guide learners through the designated curriculum while reinforcing essential concepts.

• Monitor student engagement and track academic progress.

• Identify students who are struggling or disengaged and offer timely, personalized interventions.

• Grade assignments promptly and provide meaningful feedback.

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.

• Communicate with students and their families via phone, text, chat, Zoom, and email.

• Collaborate with colleagues and leadership to foster student success.

• Participate in professional development, meetings, and training sessions.

• Teach according to the assigned curriculum, pacing, and available resources.

• Lead live sessions when needed.

• Assist in proctoring during testing periods, which may include occasional travel.

• Adhere to a fixed schedule of 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Mountain Time throughout the year.

• Remain readily responsive during scheduled hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or a related field (required).

• Teacher certification and completion of an approved teacher preparation program (required).

• Capability to obtain certifications in Arizona, Colorado, Washington, and other assigned states (required).

• Ability to pass all necessary background checks (required).

• Demonstrated content knowledge and prior educational success with students from diverse backgrounds.

• Proficiency in Mac OS, Google Workspace, learning management systems, and task management tools (e.g., Asana).

• Willingness and ability to travel to designated testing locations for proctoring duties.

• A private, professional, distraction-free remote workspace equipped with reliable high-speed internet.

• 3+ years of teaching experience (preferred).

• 2+ years of online teaching experience (preferred).
