Social Media Manager – Instagram, Education Startup

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of NORY’s Instagram presence, serving as the main brand storyteller.

• Create, curate, and oversee a well-structured Instagram content calendar.

• Increase follower count and engagement with a focus on community impact.

• Produce, film, and edit captivating Reels that highlight NORY’s STEM programs.

• Optimize short-form videos for maximum reach, watch time, and audience retention.

• Craft human-centered captions that align NORY’s values with parents’ priorities.

• Convert technical curriculum themes into easily digestible weekly narratives.

• Design straightforward, brand-consistent static graphics and carousels.

• Monitor weekly engagement metrics, including saves, shares, and direct-message inquiries.

• Analyze data trends and continuously refine the content strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record in managing and growing brand Instagram accounts, preferably in parenting, education, pediatric, or family-oriented sectors.

• Strong portfolio that demonstrates expert-level short-form video editing in Reels/TikTok formats.

• Basic graphic design skills.

• Strong copywriting abilities.

• Engaging, personable, and empathetic storytelling style.

• Self-motivated individual who excels in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Ability to accept feedback constructively and utilize data to inform decisions.

• Resume and portfolio submission required.

• Instagram handles managed or links to personal public content that has been shot and edited required.

• Key metrics from previous social media successes required.
