Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Oversee Jerry’s official presence on Reddit, managing brand-owned subreddits and engaging organically within automotive, financial, and consumer communities.

• Develop Jerry’s voice on Reddit and create a community engagement playbook.

• Produce informative text posts, comprehensive guides, and visual analyses related to car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance.

• Manage the brand’s reputation and respond to crises in discussions about Jerry.

• Monitor growth in karma, sentiment of threads, share of voice, referral traffic, search indexability, and citations from large language models (LLMs).

• Provide insights from Reddit, identify car-owner challenges, and highlight trending topics for the Product and Content teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience managing organic social or community strategies, with a strong focus on Reddit.

• Ideal experience in consumer tech, fintech, or insurtech, or a proven history of growing various types of social accounts.

• Profound knowledge of karma, subreddit dynamics, automoderation, shadowbans, and the norms of the Reddit community.

• Capability to write in a natural style appealing to Reddit users, steering clear of corporate jargon.

• Understanding of how Reddit content integrates with Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO practices.

• Competence in handling public criticism, skepticism, and challenging questions with poise, humor, and transparency.

• Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
