Social Media Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +16 more locations.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Jerry’s official representation on Reddit, encompassing brand-owned subreddits and organic engagement within automotive, financial, and consumer communities.

• Develop Jerry’s voice on Reddit and create a community engagement playbook.

• Produce informative text posts, comprehensive guides, and visual analyses related to car ownership, insurance savings, and maintenance strategies.

• Oversee reputation management and crisis response in discussions concerning Jerry.

• Monitor metrics such as karma growth, thread sentiment, share of voice, referral traffic, search indexability, and LLM citations.

• Provide insights from Reddit, highlight car-owner challenges, and identify trending topics to the Product and Content teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in managing organic social or community strategies, particularly with a strong focus on Reddit.

• Ideally have experience within consumer technology, fintech, or insurtech, or a proven history of expanding other social accounts.

• Profound knowledge of Reddit karma, subreddit dynamics, automoderation, shadowbans, and platform conventions.

• Capability to write in a manner that resonates with Reddit users and avoids corporate jargon.

• Understanding of how Reddit content influences Google SGE, LLMs, and organic SEO.

• Skill in managing pushback, skepticism, and challenging inquiries with poise, humor, and sincerity.

• Must currently reside in AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada.
