This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and capture unique, attention-grabbing content, including user-generated content (UGC), in-house productions, educational entertainment, behind-the-scenes insights, trend-responsive formats, CEO-led initiatives, and authentic customer experiences.
• Establish and implement a social strategy for Acorns and Acorns Early that aligns with overarching marketing and business objectives.
• Create, manage, and execute a vibrant content calendar across key channels.
• Identify, scope, and oversee external creators.
• Direct daily community management and actively engage with the Acorns community.
• Work collaboratively with support teams on significant topics, customer inquiries, and escalations.
• Expand Acorns’ organic presence on social media platforms, particularly Instagram and TikTok, while also focusing on Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
• Evaluate and report on social media performance metrics, including engagement levels, audience growth, and content effectiveness.
• Maintain Acorns’ brand voice and visual identity across social media content and captions.
• Monitor cultural, investing, fintech, and platform trends, integrating relevant opportunities as they arise.
• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Brand Marketing.
• 5–8+ years of practical experience in content creation and social media channel management.
• Comprehensive creator capabilities: from conceptualization, scripting, shooting, to editing content with efficiency, accuracy, and purpose.
• Innovative ideation across various formats, platforms, and original concepts.
• In-depth understanding of social content performance, merging creator intuition with strategic analysis.
• Ability to autonomously identify opportunities and act without the need for perfect briefs.
• Cultural awareness and fluency regarding emerging trends.
• Empathy for the community and customers represented on social media platforms.
• A strong passion for the mission, vision, and values of Acorns.
• Knowledge of fintech is advantageous, though not mandatory.
• Experience with UGC, in-house content, edu-tainment, behind-the-scenes material, trend-responsive content, reactive content, CEO-led initiatives, and customer-centric content is pertinent to the role.
