This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the daily content creation and publication across LOVB Youth social media platforms.
• Generate and develop social media content that highlights club, athlete, tournament, and community narratives.
• Convert submitted images and videos into refined, brand-aligned social media content.
• Capture and edit photography and short-form video content utilizing both mobile and desktop editing applications.
• Compose social media captions that align with the LOVB brand voice and content guidelines.
• Schedule and publish approved content according to social media calendars and established processes.
• Aid in the collection and publication of social content during youth volleyball tournaments, club events, and LOVB activations.
• Capture timely photographs and video content that showcase athletes, clubs, competitions, fans, and event experiences.
• Edit and prepare content in real-time for event coverage.
• Collaborate with Youth Marketing and event partners regarding content priorities and coverage.
• Monitor and engage with comments, messages, and community interactions.
• Track emerging trends on social media, platform features, youth volleyball discussions, and cultural events.
• Identify and amplify stories related to clubs, athletes, and the community.
• Collect basic social performance data and insights regarding audience engagement.
• Proficient understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including current content formats and platform conventions.
• Experience in capturing and editing captivating photo and video content.
• Familiarity with creating short-form social videos using Adobe Premiere Pro and CapCut.
• Experience with light graphic design and photo editing utilizing Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, or similar tools.
• Strong writing abilities for creating concise and engaging social media captions.
• Comprehensive understanding of youth and club volleyball culture.
• Ability to recognize social trends and convert them into content ideas.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently while seeking feedback and guidance.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate program in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience through internships, academics, freelance, volunteering, or professional social media content creation is preferred.
• Proven experience in creating and editing short-form photo and video content for social platforms.
• Knowledge of or experience in youth, club, or collegiate volleyball is highly desirable.
• Application must include a Gondola account link or a social media portfolio showcasing relevant content creation experience.
• Ability to operate computers, mobile devices, camera equipment, video conferencing tools, and related peripherals.
• Ability to communicate effectively via video, phone, and written channels.
• Willingness to work occasional nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week.
• Occasional travel required from January to July.
• Must be able to work remotely from within the United States.
• Flexible remote work arrangement.
• Opportunities for occasional travel for site visits and business-related events.
• Part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.
