Intern, Social Media – Marketplace

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Support the conceptualization, production, and execution of social media campaigns for Marketplace and its podcast portfolio.

• Generate captivating content under tight deadlines for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and others.

• Craft engaging copy to drive podcast downloads effectively.

• Ideate and research original content concepts.

• Work collaboratively with various show teams to produce compelling and engaging social media content.

• Acquire knowledge of best practices in journalism related to social media, current trends, effective social copywriting, platform-specific content creation, and analysis of social media metrics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student, or a recent graduate within the last 18 months.

• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, approximately 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, throughout the internship duration.

• Interest in economic news and its impact on everyday life.

• Familiarity with various social media platforms and the latest trends in social media.

• Proficiency in Adobe programs and/or other tools for photo, video, and audio editing.

• Strong writing, proofreading, and editing abilities.

• A creative thinker with a knack for generating ideas.

• A collaborative team member who is accountable, proactive, and solutions-oriented.

• Preferred familiarity with Marketplace’s content and voice.

• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
