Social Media Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conceptualize, create, and share engaging content across branded accounts on Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.

• Foster and nurture meaningful connections with community members through daily management on social media channels.

• React to live sports events in real time with memes, commentary, and dynamic social media content during NBA, NFL, and MLB games.

• Keep PrizePicks at the forefront of the fantasy sports sector by monitoring social media trends, memes, and cultural dialogues.

• Collaborate with the social media team and other departments on content strategies and initiatives for growth.

• Evaluate the performance of social campaigns, giveaways, and content, offering actionable insights for engagement.

• Maintain a proactive social media presence by staying updated with sports news, DFS, influencers, and pop culture.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in creating and engaging content on social media for a consumer-facing brand or in the sports industry.

• A passionate individual with a deep understanding of the gaming landscape and daily fantasy sports.

• Comprehensive knowledge of social media platforms, especially X/Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.

• Awareness of the time commitments and schedules associated with live sports, including evenings, weekends, and the flexibility to work during major holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

• Profound understanding of players, storylines, and narratives in the NBA and NFL; additional knowledge of MLB and general sports is a plus.

• Creative talent in generating sports-related content, with the ability to pivot based on trending topics.

• Strong writing skills with a flair for storytelling.

• Experience in the sports/entertainment social media industry and familiarity with tools like Sprout Social or similar for calendar management and social listening.

• A creative eye for design and proficiency in software such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or Figma; skills in video editing and creative work within platform apps are also essential.

• A thorough understanding of meme culture and the ability to connect with sports fans.

• Must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer; sponsorship for employment visas is not available.
