Snowflake Solutions Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create scalable and efficient data architectures in Snowflake that meet client needs and adhere to industry best practices.

• Manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and integration strategies utilizing Snowflake, Python, SQL, and related tools.

• Develop and implement data governance frameworks that encompass data quality, compliance, security, and metadata management.

• Collaborate with clients, internal technical teams, and stakeholders to collect requirements and convert them into technical solutions.

• Enhance the scalability, speed, and efficiency of data systems; address and resolve data-related challenges.

• Automate data integration, monitoring, and error handling processes.

• Establish data security protocols, including encryption, access controls, and data masking, in accordance with industry standards and regulations.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data architecture and engineering, particularly with Snowflake.

• In-depth knowledge of the Snowflake Data Cloud platform, covering data warehousing, security features, performance optimization, and data sharing.

• Proficient in SQL, Python, and other pertinent programming languages and frameworks used in ETL/ELT processes.

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with familiarity with their data storage and integration services.

• Strong grasp of data governance principles and tools, including data lineage, cataloging, data security, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and CCPA.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and clients.

• Capability to think strategically and address complex technical challenges in a scalable and efficient manner.

• Experience in the university sector and/or government sector is required.
