SMP/E, z/OSMF Expert – Long Term Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with vulnerability management teams to assist with EZ CVE reporting

• Establish and finalize timelines for automation in patch management

• Create patch response models for urgent and ad-hoc escalation scenarios

• Set up a daily, weekly, and monthly cadence for patching and validation

• Assess CVE package stability and enhance reporting/dashboard functionalities

• Facilitate SMP/E processes, define baseline datasets, and integrate with vulnerability scanning tools

• Design AI-driven prompts and automation for testing, RFB validation, and impact analysis

• Offer advisory and implementation support for secure and efficient patch deployment

⛳️ Requirements

• 10–15 years of extensive hands-on experience with SMP/E

• Proficiency in z/OSMF and REST APIs, especially within the Software Management component

• Skills in Git and USS/OMVS

• Experience in installing and maintaining z/OS and ISV software

• Exceptional software testing abilities, encompassing functionality, robustness, and performance testing

• Strong experience in Python and REXX scripting

• Familiarity with IBM software and customization of mainframe ISV software

• Over 10 years of relevant professional experience

• Solid overall IT experience
