Small Business Territory Leader – Eastern Zone

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Propel profitable growth for small businesses across a multi-state region that includes FL, GA, TN, MD, VA, PA, NC, and SC.

• Provide leadership to the sales teams functioning within the designated area.

• Implement Westfield’s Small Business strategy while delivering production and profitability outcomes.

• Convert strategy into regional priorities, sales plans, and execution rhythms.

• Oversee goal setting, forecasting, pipeline management, and performance evaluations.

• Direct regional segmentation, agency engagement strategies, and growth initiatives.

• Lead, mentor, and develop Territory Managers.

• Manage hiring, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.

• Collaborate with key agency partners through joint planning, escalations, and growth discussions.

• Keep abreast of market trends, competitive dynamics, and agency needs.

• Partner with Underwriting, Product, Distribution, and other business units.

• Identify process or capability gaps and implement effective solutions.

• Support change initiatives and drive operational improvements.

• Establish monthly reviews, performance tracking, and action planning.

• Utilize data and insights to recognize trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Manage priorities, eliminate obstacles, and focus on high-impact activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of progressive experience in insurance sales, sales leadership, or business development.

• Proven track record of successfully leading sales teams across multi-state or complex territories.

• In-depth understanding of small business insurance distribution and agency dynamics.

• Demonstrated ability to drive profitable growth.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Valid driver’s license required.

• Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.
