Slovak – English Remote Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes while on a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific terminology relevant to the interpreter's field, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts. Training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Assist in communication between clients with Limited English Proficiency and the service provider by providing accurate and complete interpretations.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Demonstrate a willingness to pursue new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code guidelines for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (source language) and a Native speaker of Slovak (target language).

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation at a recognized interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial, but not required.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is a plus.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare sector is an advantage (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural sensitivity.

• Excellent skills in communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention.
