Slovak – English Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to incoming calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely render all messages without addition, omission, or substitution.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during the interpretation process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Slovak."

• At least 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not essential.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, though not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are favorable (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• A high school diploma in your native language is required.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Demonstrate strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
