Slack Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the technical architecture for customer Slack implementations, encompassing workspace/org structure, integrations, security, and governance.

• Design and develop integrations between Slack and enterprise systems utilizing Slack's APIs, Bolt SDK, and Workflow Builder.

• Facilitate technical discovery sessions with customer IT, security, and compliance stakeholders.

• Establish governance frameworks that address channel management, app approval, data retention, and access controls.

• Collaborate with Slack Consultants to convert business requirements into scalable, secure technical designs.

• Create custom apps, workflows, and automations that enhance Slack's native functionalities.

• Offer technical leadership and mentorship to consultants and engineers on the delivery team.

• Keep abreast of Slack's evolving platform and AI-driven features, assessing new capabilities.

• Resolve intricate technical challenges during implementation and deliver post-launch technical support.

• Report directly to the CEO.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level experience is required.

• Extensive, hands-on experience in administering and/or developing on the Slack platform, preferably including Enterprise Grid environments.

• Strong background in designing technical architecture in enterprise settings, including integrations, identity/SSO, APIs, and system design.

• Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks pertinent to enterprise or public-sector environments.

• Ability to communicate technical trade-offs effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Previous consulting or professional services experience is preferred.

• Proficiency with Slack's Bolt SDK, Workflow Builder, or custom app development.

• Familiarity with the Salesforce ecosystem is advantageous.

• Experience working with government or public-sector clients and relevant compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, StateRAMP).

• Possession of Slack-issued certifications (e.g., Slack Certified Admin, Slack Certified Developer) is a plus.
