This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Develop Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for designated projects.

• Ensure adherence to safety policies, established standards, OSHA regulations, and Ameresco requirements.

• Verify compliance with PPE and employee training protocols.

• Conduct safety audits, project inspections, and follow-up assessments.

• Provide safety training sessions for project staff.

• Review safety qualifications of subcontractors and participate in pre-construction meetings.

• Create and assess activity hazard evaluations.

• Carry out investigations into accidents and incidents.

• Formulate and implement corrective action plans.

• Collaborate with project management to devise effective safety solutions.

• Promote a positive safety culture.

• Maintain necessary safety certifications.

• Organize quarterly safety meetings for project personnel.

• Generate reports on safety activities.

• Communicate professionally with clients, colleagues, supervisors, and management.

• Perform additional duties as needed.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or a related discipline.

• At least 5 years of safety experience in the construction industry on comparable projects.

• Ability to effectively communicate safety matters within a project team.

• Minimum of 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the last 5 years.

• Competent person training in excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined space, and health hazard recognition/evaluation/control.

• Certification as a Construction Health and Safety Technician.

• EM385-1-1 40-Hour Safety Certification.

• Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification.

• Current First Aid & CPR Certification.

• NFPA 70E certification for electrical safety training.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fundamental computer skills.

• Organized, proactive, and experienced in OSHA compliance.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Excellent writing skills and proper grammar usage.

• Willingness to travel frequently.

• Capacity to communicate in a professional and positive manner.
