Site Safety Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Enforce OSHA regulations and company standards for safety equipment and attire.

• Ensure compliance with company safety protocols at project sites.

• Maintain accurate safety documentation.

• Keep workspaces organized, safe, and tidy.

• Investigate incidents and prepare necessary reports.

• Support the Site Manager in providing administrative guidance to non-compliant team members and subcontractors.

• Facilitate safety meetings and jobsite assessments as part of coordination meetings.

• Conduct daily safety briefings.

• Provide orientation and site-specific training.

• Communicate, implement, and uphold Gray’s safety program on site.

• Indirectly oversee the safety personnel of subcontractors.

• Perform additional assigned tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline OR over 5 years of relevant experience in place of a degree.

• OSHA 30 Hour certification.

• Experience in an industrial construction setting is highly preferred.

• Proven knowledge of safety and environmental principles and practices.

• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Must be willing to travel to project locations across the United States, and occasionally internationally.

• The selected candidate can reside anywhere in the USA.

• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Ability to meet physical requirements, including frequently lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work in wet/humid environments, near moving machinery, outdoors, at heights, with fumes, extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, explosives, vibrations, and moderate to loud noise levels.

• Overtime may be necessary.
