This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.
• Design and maintain public health dashboards and data pipelines for PHF Science.
• Consolidate a variety of complex data to enhance the scientific value of the organization.
• Collaborate with PHF Science specialists to extract significant insights from data.
• Create scalable ETL pipelines and API integrations for data processing.
• Combine various datasets with GIS-enabled visual representations.
• Prepare solutions for the near-real-time collection, ingestion, storage, and analysis of data.
• Establish technical standards for the development and deployment of analytics applications.
• Assist in gathering requirements and providing recommendations that align with best practices and future design visions.
• Recognize opportunities for ongoing enhancements in service delivery and solutions.
• Submit a cover letter and CV detailing your interest and relevant expertise.
• Proven experience in an analytics role enabling the successful completion of the tasks listed.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in analytical coding using R, Python, R Shiny, Tableau, PowerBI, TSQL, and/or Snowflake.
• Experience in cloud systems development, preferably for data science or analytics purposes, particularly with Azure.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Cross-cultural communication skills are preferred but not mandatory.
• Understanding of or a willingness to develop knowledge in Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, and/or te reo Māori.
• The selected candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a police records check.
