Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design and execution of software solutions, which encompasses programming, conducting code reviews, and performing testing.

• Investigate and resolve intricate production challenges, such as discrepancies in distributed systems, connection timeouts, and resource constraints.

• Create and enhance monitoring systems to minimize manual tasks (toil) and decrease MTTR.

• Collaborate closely with an international team comprising front-end and back-end developers, Product Owners, and UX/UI designers.

• Adapt swiftly to new requirements while acquiring knowledge of new technologies and methodologies.

• Provide on-call assistance as necessary, with additional remuneration.

• Craft the leading technical solutions available in the market for our clients.

• Efficiently achieve set objectives.

• Establish priorities and devise pragmatic solutions in a fast-paced environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in backend development and/or SRE/DevOps positions.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux, including process management and systemd internals.

• Expertise in microservices, Redis Events, FastAPI, Celery, and asynchronous workflows.

• Strong understanding of software development principles, including SOLID, DRY, and Clean Code.

• Proficient in Python, with capabilities in OOP, asynchronous patterns, effective error handling, and performance enhancement.

• Experience with Ansible, focusing on idempotent playbook creation, AWX, and cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Git-based CI/CD methodologies.

• At least a basic level of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters.

• Proficient in English and possess good German language skills.

• Eagerness to take ownership of systems and subjects while actively supporting the team.

• Capability to independently identify issues before they escalate into incidents.

• Ability to recognize and document optimizations autonomously and implement them via automation.

• Capacity to collaborate and coordinate with various engineering teams and build consensus on technical approaches.
