Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Construct, maintain, and enhance the monitoring, logging, and tracing framework in accordance with OpenTelemetry standards.

• Create impactful alerts and dashboards that minimize distractions and enable teams to respond swiftly.

• Assist in defining and monitoring SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets across various services.

• Equip engineering teams to instrument their services effectively and achieve clear visibility into production.

• Engage in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortem analyses, utilizing observability data to uncover root causes.

• Streamline observability setup and configuration through automation using Terraform, Helm, and scripting in Go, Python, or Bash.

• Collaborate with developers, Application Performance, and Operations teams to enhance platform reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in SRE, primarily focused on developing an Observability platform.

• Extensive hands-on expertise with Prometheus, Grafana, and various logging and tracing tools; familiarity with OpenTelemetry is highly advantageous.

• Strong background in GCP, GKE, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Proficient in Terraform and Helm.

• Strong scripting or programming abilities in Go, Python, or Bash.

• Knowledge of on-call duties, incident response, and post-mortem procedures.

• Experience with APM tools, PagerDuty or similar, and implementing SLOs in a production environment is a plus.

• Equivalent qualifications that meet the specified requirements will also be taken into account.
