Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Observability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Develop, sustain, and enhance the monitoring, logging, and tracing infrastructure in accordance with OpenTelemetry standards.

• Create effective alerts and dashboards that minimize noise and assist teams in responding promptly.

• Assist in defining and monitoring SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets across various services.

• Empower engineering teams to instrument their services for enhanced production visibility.

• Engage in on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems, utilizing observability data to identify root causes.

• Automate the setup and configuration of observability using Terraform, Helm, along with Go, Python, or Bash scripting.

• Work collaboratively with developers, App Performance, and Operations to enhance platform reliability.

• Support the App Performance team in ensuring Félix remains fast and dependable.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in SRE, primarily focused on building an Observability platform.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and logging and tracing tools; familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a significant advantage.

• Strong background in GCP, GKE, Kubernetes, and Docker.

• Proficient in using Terraform and Helm.

• Solid programming or scripting abilities in Go, Python, or Bash.

• Knowledge of on-call, incident response, and post-mortem processes.

• Experience with APM tools, PagerDuty or similar, and implementing SLOs in a production environment is preferred.

• Equivalent qualifications in any of the aforementioned areas will also be taken into account.
