Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Execute operational deployments, implementations, and maintenance for production systems.

• Establish and uphold monitoring and reporting for performance metrics related to Core Speech products.

• Conduct capacity planning activities.

• Set up and maintain operational alerting systems.

• Engage in an off-hours site reliability support rotation and address alerts as necessary.

• Collaborate on projects while also working independently to enhance system performance and architecture.

• Take part in relevant corporate programs and initiatives, adhering to professional standards, quality benchmarks, Solventum values, ethical guidelines, policies, procedures, and security protocols.

• Occasionally travel to Core Speech Operations offices located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

• Travel is estimated to be 5%-10%.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience in operations support and/or application development, OR a high school diploma/GED with 10+ years of relevant work experience in operations support and/or application development.

• Strong attention to detail and the capability to approach problems logically, methodically, and efficiently.

• Proficiency in Python, Jython, shell scripting, Java, and Go.

• Familiarity with Git, particularly GitHub or GitLab.

• Experience with SQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of non-SQL databases such as MongoDB and AWS DocumentDB.

• Experience with build systems, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD), including GoCD, GitHub, and GitLab.

• Experience with virtual environments and containerization technologies, including Docker and containerd.

• Proficient in using Ansible, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

• Familiarity with AWS products like EC2, EFS, EKS, S3, RDS, and CloudFront.

• Experience with monitoring, log aggregation, and message streaming tools such as Grafana, Redis, Solr, Logstash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Filebeat.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment without the need for sponsorship for employment visa status.
