Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical rearchitecture initiatives to convert a large-scale monolithic system into a contemporary microservices-based, cloud-native application.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Architecture, and Product teams to establish and execute system architecture utilizing domain-driven design principles.

• Assess technologies and suggest tools, frameworks, and cloud services.

• Utilize Kubernetes for the orchestration and management of containers.

• Implement resilient and highly available components within the system.

• Develop mechanisms for monitoring, logging, and alerting.

• Promote the integration of DevOps principles and practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and trends in cloud computing.

• Mentor and offer technical guidance to junior team members.

⛳️ Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Over 7 years of experience with cloud computing platforms.

• Strong expertise in multi-cloud environments, particularly with AWS and Azure.

• More than 7 years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications into cloud-native architectures.

• Proficient in Kubernetes (K8S), with hands-on experience using AKS and EKS.

• Strong background in cloud networking and the capability to design and troubleshoot complex cloud networking architecture issues.

• Expert knowledge of Terraform for managing infrastructure as code.

• In-depth understanding of security best practices for containers and Kubernetes clusters.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Familiarity with load balancing algorithms is a plus.
