Site Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assume full responsibility for all field operations from the initiation of the project to its completion.

• Oversee project safety, quality, scheduling, planning, jobsite logistics, on-site management, subcontractor coordination, and risk assessment.

• Maintain and monitor the overall project timeline, creating task-specific two- to three-week forecasts.

• Provide real-time updates to the Project Manager and Scheduler for schedule management.

• Enforce site safety regulations, assist safety personnel, halt unsafe practices, and advise subcontractors and team members on violations.

• Train project team members on Gray software such as CMO, Navisworks, Bluebeam, Concur, E-Time, and GoGray.

• Conduct site and weekly meetings to synchronize subcontractor activities.

• Prepare monthly reports detailing safety, scheduling, subcontractor performance, quality, budget, and customer relations.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager team on subcontract buyout and procurement scheduling.

• Guide, teach, coach, train, and mentor project team members.

• Establish and uphold the jobsite safety culture in alignment with Gray’s safety program.

• Ensure accountability of the site team to Gray policies and procedures.

• Set up and finalize construction sites.

• Perform daily project walks to ensure safe, quality, and timely work.

• Communicate accurate project information to project managers, design managers, customers, site teams, subcontractors, and field operations.

• Review and coordinate shop, architectural, and structural drawings while maintaining up-to-date field sets.

• Analyze project documents to confirm construction adheres to plans, specifications, and contracts.

• Review project budgets and financial implications with the Project Manager.

• Assist with scopes of work, evaluation of subcontractors/vendors/suppliers, pre-award meetings, cost-to-complete reports, monthly billings, and status updates.

• Implement project closeout and punch-list procedures.

• Coordinate and manage the project team to ensure buyout and procurement remain on schedule.

• Take ownership of the schedule post-mobilization and manage it through project closeout.

• Carry out other delegated duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10+ years of relevant construction experience.

• Preferred experience in managing field activities on project sites, including collaboration among design, project, and scheduling teams.

• Proven leadership skills to manage and guide on-site project teams to successful outcomes.

• Capability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial statements, and legal/contractual documents.

• Strong skills in people management.

• Energetic and self-motivated individual who thrives in a team environment and embodies Gray’s Core Values.

• Basic computer proficiency, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications.

• Proficient in using Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.

• Must be willing to travel to project sites across the United States and occasionally outside the U.S.

• Selected candidate can reside anywhere in the USA.

• This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, reach, and communicate verbally or audibly.

• Capability to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.

• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs and on occasion up to 100 lbs.

• Ability to work in various conditions, including wet/humid environments, near moving mechanical parts, outdoors, at heights, and with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, extreme temperatures, electrical shock risks, explosives, and vibrations.

• Overtime may be required.

• May supervise multiple subordinate supervisors and support staff.

• Supervisory duties include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining team members, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.
