This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Supervise daily rail operations at industrial facilities.

• Manage and assist with in-plant railcar switching, track maintenance, transloading, and equipment oversight.

• Ensure a safe working environment by providing training on safety protocols and operational procedures.

• Cultivate a culture of safety and compliance while upholding certifications and safety standards.

• Lead, mentor, and develop team members, recognizing high performers for potential advancement.

• Oversee scheduling to guarantee appropriate staffing and skill coverage across shifts.

• Coordinate daily operations to meet customer expectations and fulfill contract obligations.

• Manage cost control, including payroll, fuel, and equipment expenses.

• Support and maintain preventive maintenance programs in collaboration with mechanical teams.

• Establish and nurture strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service delivery.

• Execute administrative tasks such as timekeeping, reporting, and performance evaluations.

• Supervise employees in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to ensure efficient operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in rail operations, logistics, or a related field.

• Robust leadership and team development capabilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, operational environment.

• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and interpersonal).

• Ability to understand safety regulations, operational procedures, and technical documents.

• Basic mathematical skills, including ratios, percentages, and data analysis.

• Proficient in problem-solving and making sound operational decisions.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical examination, and background check.

• Military experience is advantageous.
