Show Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.

📋 Description

• Act as the public face of the event by presenting awards and conducting interviews.

• Foster a lively and inviting environment for dancers, clients, and attendees.

• Provide outstanding client relations and address any inquiries or concerns.

• Supervise the judging panel to ensure fairness and compliance with competition rules and procedures.

• Prepare and verify award reports for accuracy prior to the ceremonies.

• Assist in maintaining the overall event flow and intervene as necessary to uphold efficiency and quality.

• Participate in regional and possibly national events during the event season from January to July.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience as a host, emcee, or presenter for live events is preferred.

• Exceptional public speaking skills and strong stage presence.

• Familiarity with competitive dance settings or performing arts is beneficial.

• A background in dance, theater, or similar performing arts is strongly preferred.

• Experience with judging panels in competitive dance is preferred.

• Prior experience in live events, production, or competitive dance environments is preferred.

• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple responsibilities in fast-paced settings.

• Must live within a reasonable distance from a U.S. international airport or hub.

• Willingness to travel frequently during the event season (January to July).

• Availability to attend approximately 6 to 10 regional events each year and possibly 1 to 2 national events.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist in setting up equipment.

• Comfortable sharing hotel accommodations with same-gender colleagues.

• New or first-year event staff are required to attend an audition and training session in Eagle, Idaho.
