SharePoint Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Evaluate both business and technical requirements to create scalable solutions based on SharePoint.

• Design and implement custom SharePoint components, which include workflows, web parts, and applications.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure solutions meet operational requirements and governance standards.

• Build and configure SharePoint solutions utilizing supported development frameworks and tools like Power Apps and Power BI.

• Develop custom workflows, web parts, and extensions to improve SharePoint's capabilities.

• Integrate SharePoint with various data sources and other enterprise systems and applications.

• Perform unit, integration, and system testing to verify functionality, performance, and security.

• Diagnose, debug, and correct defects found during testing or in production.

• Offer technical support and resolve issues for deployed SharePoint solutions.

• Provide ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and operational support for SharePoint environments.

• Monitor system performance and address application or configuration problems.

• Keep up-to-date with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, related platform updates, best practices, and security standards.

• Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, including design artifacts, configuration guides, and operational procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

• At least eight years of experience in developing and supporting SharePoint solutions within an enterprise setting.

• In-depth knowledge of SharePoint architecture, development frameworks, and best practices for implementation.

• Practical experience with SharePoint workflows, web parts, and custom applications.

• Familiarity with SQL Server and relational database design.

• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Capability to successfully pass a Public Trust investigation.

• Preferably experienced with SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365.

• Preferred certifications in SharePoint Development or Microsoft 365-related areas.

• Experience in supporting SharePoint migration, modernization, or upgrade initiatives is preferred.

• Knowledge of the Power Platform is preferred.
