Session Director – Spanish

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Oversee live recording sessions with Voice Contributors using scripted scenarios.

• Guide voice performers to achieve a natural, conversational delivery rather than a word-for-word recitation.

• Establish scene context and improvise to bridge narrative or dialogue gaps in real time.

• Modify scripted language for authentic phrasing and regional/dialect accuracy.

• Supervise and rectify technical audio quality instantly, including microphone technique, pacing, clarity, and background noise.

• Control session pacing to achieve recording goals while ensuring high performance quality.

• Keep organized records of adjustments and retakes.

• Foster a supportive, low-pressure atmosphere for performers of diverse experience levels.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native Spanish speaker with the specific dialect and a keen ear for natural, colloquial expressions.

• Experience in directing, coaching, or producing voice or audio talent, including voice direction, casting direction, audio/podcast production, dubbing/ADR, or theater direction.

• Proven ability to provide clear, specific, actionable performance guidance.

• Strong understanding of basic recording/microphone techniques, such as proximity, plosives, room acoustics, and audio levels.

• Ability to improvise and adapt scripted content on the fly.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the capability to quickly establish rapport with performers of varied experience levels.

• Approximately 8 hours of calibration and supervision across two recording sessions, each lasting around 4 hours per participant.

• Background in improv, theater direction, or acting coaching is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience working with non-professional or first-time voice talent is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) or recording software like Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, or Reaper is preferred but not mandatory.
