ServiceNow Data Migration Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical design and implementation of ServiceNow data migration initiatives.

• Evaluate legacy or source systems to identify data structures, dependencies, relationships, and issues related to data quality.

• Establish migration strategies, data mapping, transformation guidelines, and migration plans.

• Create and configure Import Sets and Transform Maps.

• Collaborate with Import Set Tables, staging tables, Transform Scripts, Coalesce fields, and data transformation logic.

• Transfer data across various ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, CSM, FSM, CMDB, Asset Management, HRSD, and custom applications.

• Develop data migration scripts and automate processes using ServiceNow JavaScript.

• Conduct data cleansing, normalization, deduplication, and enrichment prior to migration.

• Align legacy data fields with ServiceNow target tables and maintain comprehensive mapping documentation.

• Manage intricate data relationships and migration dependencies between parent and child records.

• Migrate attachments, reference fields, users, groups, configuration data, and transactional data as needed.

• Utilize REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, MID Server, JDBC, Import Sets, and other relevant methods for data extraction and loading.

• Design and perform mock migrations, test migrations, and production cutover migrations.

• Carry out data validation, reconciliation, and record-count checks to ensure data integrity.

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, technical architects, and development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, concentrating on ITAM/SAM.

• More than 5 years of pertinent experience in ServiceNow Data Migration.

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript and the ServiceNow API framework.

• In-depth technical knowledge of SAM Pro data models, Software Installation tables, Discovery Models, and Software Models.

• Strong background in SQL, XML, JSON, and IntegrationHub steps.

• Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification is required.

• Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM).

• Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD).

• Preferred: Relevant CIS certifications including Certified Application Developer (CAD).

• Previous enterprise experience managing complex data transformation, cleansing, and cutover migrations in large-scale ServiceNow implementations.
