This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Formulate and implement a category strategy spanning three to five years that aligns with the company's growth goals.
• Identify target segments and articulate customer value propositions.
• Examine market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitor positioning.
• Discover and prioritize opportunities for growth and margin enhancement.
• Spearhead initiatives for service differentiation.
• Enhance category performance and profitability through adjustments in revenue mix, gross margin growth, and cost-to-serve enhancements.
• Create and enforce pricing strategies, discounting guidelines, and contract frameworks.
• Advocate for pricing discipline among sales teams.
• Define and continuously refine the calibration and solutions service portfolio.
• Streamline low-margin or low-demand offerings.
• Develop bundled service packages and subscription models.
• Launch new services based on customer needs, industry benchmarks, or technological advancements.
• Collaborate with Sales to facilitate growth and margin improvements.
• Partner with Operations/Labs to synchronize capacity, turnaround times, and cost structures.
• Work together with Quality/Compliance to meet accreditation and regulatory standards.
• Engage with Marketing on targeted campaigns and thought leadership initiatives.
• Coordinate with Distribution and Rentals regarding equipment, standards, and vendor optimization.
• Collaborate with IT on technology infrastructure and software assets.
• Influence senior stakeholders regarding priorities, investments, and trade-offs.
• Serve as the voice of the customer.
• Support key account strategies and the structuring of large or strategic deals.
• Create standardized proposals, pricing frameworks, and service level agreements.
• Promote customer retention and expansion through enhanced service value.
• A Bachelor's degree in business or a related discipline.
• Over 5 years of proven success in the service industry.
• Expertise in strategic category strategy development.
• Proficiency in pricing strategy and value-based selling.
• Experience in market and competitive analysis.
• Exceptional influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capacity to drive alignment among diverse teams without direct reporting relationships.
• Skill in translating complex strategies into clear, persuasive visual and verbal presentations for top-tier stakeholders.
• Data-driven decision-making capability.
• Proficient in financial modeling and business case development.
• Familiarity with service delivery models and cost structures in technical service environments.
• Adaptability and resilience in complex, matrixed settings.
