Service Representative, Brokerage Placement – Commercial Lines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Execute policy service tasks primarily through phone and electronic communication while adhering to established timelines and service standards.

• Manage policy status inquiries, insurance certificates, renewal follow-ups, and associated responsibilities.

• Support underwriters with agency-related activities and finalize transactions effectively on the first attempt.

• Accept, amend, or reject lower-complexity business in line with policies, procedures, and standards.

• Accurately categorize risks and make decisions regarding pricing, products, endorsements, market conditions, and qualifying risks.

• Gather information from various sources to aid underwriting evaluations.

• Assess individual risks for acceptability in accordance with carriers' underwriting guidelines, state laws, and surplus lines criteria.

• Collaborate with agents and both internal and external partners on customer service initiatives.

• Suggest improvements for internal process design and operational efficiency.

• Organize tasks to ensure compliance with agreed timelines and service level agreements.

• Deliver services to agencies while building strong relationships with customers.

• Direct calls and escalated issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Maintain relationships through high-quality customer service.

• Attain team objectives by creating a profitable book of business and increasing policies in force and premium.

⛳️ Requirements

• P&C License and Surplus Lines License or L&H License in all states (if required by the product line) must be obtained within 45 days.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.

• A minimum of one year of relevant insurance experience is preferred.

• An undergraduate degree may be accepted in place of experience.
