Service Advocate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct both inbound and outbound calls to members and providers to facilitate healthcare visits, screenings, vaccinations, and medication refills.

• Overcome obstacles that hinder members’ health improvement.

• Ensure an exceptional member experience through professional and empathetic communication.

• Educate members to empower them in making health decisions that enhance their well-being.

• Document conversations accurately in members’ health records.

• Clarify benefits associated with specific screenings and medications.

• Support members and providers with essential health services, medications, and resources aimed at improving Star health outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• High level of computer literacy, including troubleshooting capabilities.

• Proficient in Windows, web-based applications, and digital communication tools.

• A reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps.

• A suitable workspace for remote work.

• Hard-wired internet connection to the computer is mandatory; DSL, satellite, and wireless broadband are not acceptable.

• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are strongly preferred.

• Experience with HEDIS screening measures is preferred.

• Familiarity with behavior change is preferred.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience meeting production expectations or handling high-volume calls is highly preferred.

• At least 2 years of experience in a call center or outreach role involving members/consumers.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare environment.

• Medical certification, such as a certified nursing assistant or medical assistant, is required.

• Strong professional communication skills.

• Excellent active listening and interpersonal skills.

• High school diploma or G.E.D. is required.
