Separations Field Application Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist the sales team by delivering product presentations, conducting demonstrations, and performing application studies.

• Work in partnership with product management on beta-site testing and demonstrations for new product launches.

• Take ownership of the designated Separations product line to help achieve sales goals and expand market share.

• Aid in customer processes and analyze User Requirement Specifications (URS).

• Generate application trials to design products that are optimized according to application specifications.

• Execute product trials and demonstrations while compiling trial reports.

• Offer proactive technical support and resolve implementation issues for clients.

• Assist with quality complaint investigations by diagnosing and analyzing customer processes.

• Gather, compile, verify, and analyze performance data for the product line and customer feedback.

• Report competitor product details and insights to the application specialist and product management team.

• Provide fundamental product training to internal sales teams and dealers.

• Conduct workshops and seminars for external customers.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the scope of trials and acceptance criteria, producing professional trial reports.

• Primarily serve customers in Northern New Jersey, with occasional service in Delaware, New York, and Pennsylvania.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biological engineering, biotechnology, or a related life sciences field, or equivalent professional experience; Master’s degree is preferred.

• Over 3 years of experience in process development, MSAT, or bioprocessing within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry, or relevant field experience in a similar role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of TFF, UF/MF/DF, NFF, Viral Filtration, and Clarification products.

• Proven experience in optimization and process scaling.

• Familiarity with life science application experiment technologies.

• Proficient in troubleshooting technical and application-related challenges in customer settings.

• Hands-on technical expertise, including conducting demos, trials, evaluations, and customer training sessions.

• Capable of documenting application findings, trial results, and technical recommendations in an organized manner.

• Ability to work collaboratively across Sales, Product Management, Quality departments, and other cross-functional stakeholders within a matrix organization.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to translate customer requirements into application solutions.

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

• Proficient with software applications, such as Microsoft Office.

• Capable of lifting approximately 50 pounds.

• Willingness to travel over 50%, including overnight trips.
