Senior/Principal Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of solutions for water and wastewater processes.

• Create and evaluate process engineering outputs, such as PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and technical specifications.

• Offer technical guidance, address intricate engineering problems, and assist in project execution.

• Engage in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and other reviews related to process safety.

• Develop process safety documentation, which includes Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.

• Ensure that designs adhere to applicable regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

• Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality results.

• Support Southern Water’s £4.8 billion investment program for water and wastewater projects from inception to completion.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.

• Chartered status or proven commitment to learning and development towards obtaining chartered status.

• Experience in the water industry.

• Capacity to work across locations in London, St Albans, Croydon, or Basingstoke/Southern UK.

• Requirement to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office as a condition of employment.
