Senior/Principal Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Direct the design and development of solutions for water and wastewater processes.

• Generate and evaluate process engineering outputs, such as PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and technical specifications.

• Offer technical guidance, address intricate engineering issues, and assist in project execution.

• Engage in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and other process safety evaluations.

• Develop process safety documentation, which includes Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.

• Ensure that designs adhere to pertinent regulations, standards, and industry-leading practices.

• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and cross-disciplinary teams.

• Support Southern Water's £4.8bn investment initiative across water and wastewater projects from inception to execution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.

• Chartered status or evident progress towards obtaining chartered status.

• Experience in the water industry.

• Willingness to work in various locations including London, St Albans, Croydon, or Basingstoke/Southern UK.

• Must be able to attend in-person onboarding on Day 1 at an AECOM office.

• Capability to travel occasionally to client locations.
