Senior/Principal Process Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and development of solutions for water and wastewater processes.

• Create and assess process engineering deliverables, such as PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and technical specifications.

• Provide technical guidance, tackle complex engineering issues, and assist in project execution.

• Engage in and contribute to HAZOP, HAZID, and other process safety evaluations.

• Develop process safety documentation, including Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.

• Ensure that designs adhere to relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

• Collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.

• Support Southern Water’s £4.8bn investment program on water and wastewater initiatives from concept to implementation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry/Biological Science.

• Chartered status, or proven learning and development towards achieving chartered status.

• Experience in the water industry.

• Capability to design and develop solutions for water and wastewater processes.

• Proficient in producing and reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, mass balances, and technical specifications.

• Ability to provide technical leadership and address complex engineering challenges.

• Experience in participating in HAZOP, HAZID, and other process safety reviews.

• Familiarity with preparing Hazardous Area Classification and LoPA assessments.

• Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.

• Capacity to collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
