Senior XBRL Financial Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation, review, validation, and submission of intricate XBRL filings and financial disclosures, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, along with other SEC reporting obligations.

• Act as a reliable advisor for clients by offering insights on SEC regulations, XBRL taxonomy requirements, reporting best practices, and compliance with financial disclosures.

• Handle multiple client projects, ensuring filing deadlines and deliverables are met while upholding exceptional quality and accuracy standards.

• Evaluate filings using validation tools, address compliance challenges, and relay filing recommendations and findings to clients.

• Facilitate client onboarding, software demonstrations, and training sessions related to XBRL reporting and Toppan Merrill's Bridge platform.

• Guide consultants and associates through mentoring, providing technical assistance, coaching, and support on client projects and filing tasks.

• Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Care, and Consulting teams to meet client needs, foster business opportunities, and enhance client reporting processes.

• Keep track of regulatory updates and industry shifts, conveying their implications and suggestions to clients and internal stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree is required, ideally in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• 7-10+ years of experience in external financial reporting with SEC reporting entities.

• Hands-on experience in preparing, reviewing, or supporting SEC filings, including Forms 10-K and 10-Q.

• Comprehensive understanding of XBRL reporting, financial statement tagging, taxonomy concepts, and validation procedures.

• Solid grasp of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards.

• Experience in public accounting, particularly in audit or assurance settings, is highly preferred.

• Proven client-facing consulting experience with outstanding communication, presentation, and relationship management abilities.

• Familiarity with financial reporting solutions such as Bridge, Workiva, ActiveDisclosure, or comparable platforms is preferred.
