Senior Workplace Engineer, File Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support for enterprise file services environments, which include CIFS/SMB and NTFS.

• Diagnose, optimize, and transition file services to guarantee stable, secure, and high-performance operations.

• Administer and enhance Active Directory environments effectively.

• Manage permissions, file share access, groups, and directory structures.

• Develop and refine automation solutions utilizing PowerShell and Automic (UC4).

• Participate in migration, integration, and consolidation initiatives.

• Deliver advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis within complex workplace infrastructure settings.

• Recognize opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and operational practices.

• Modernize file services environments and streamline access management procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level proficiency in File Services, encompassing CIFS/SMB and NTFS troubleshooting and migration tasks.

• Senior-level understanding of Active Directory, including architecture, permissions, and group management.

• Advanced experience in PowerShell scripting and automation, featuring complex script libraries and reusable modules.

• Intermediate or greater experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Intermediate or above proficiency in Automic (UC4) administration and support.

• Established experience in on-premises enterprise environments.

• Proven track record in delivering migration or system integration projects.

• Regular utilization of AI tools to enhance productivity, automate or minimize repetitive tasks, support decision-making, and achieve superior outcomes.

• Capability to responsibly use AI tools, structure effective prompts, critically evaluate outputs, understand limitations, and take ownership of final results.

• Advanced proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.

• M365 services certifications are considered advantageous.

• Experience in highly customized enterprise environments with extensive automation frameworks is a plus.
