This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design and architect scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise wireless solutions.
• Conduct customer discovery sessions to grasp business, technical, application, coverage, capacity, and mobility needs.
• Create wireless architectures tailored for high-density environments, voice, location services, and critical business applications.
• Execute RF design, capacity planning, channel planning, and wireless performance assessments.
• Generate high-level designs (HLDs), low-level designs (LLDs), bills of materials (BOMs), statements of work (SOWs), and other solution documentation.
• Plan and carry out predictive, passive, active, AP-on-a-stick, validation, and spectrum-analysis surveys.
• Evaluate RF coverage, capacity, interference, channel utilization, roaming, and application performance.
• Troubleshoot complex RF and WLAN performance issues with advanced techniques.
• Oversee wireless deployments, migrations, upgrades, modernizations, cutovers, testing, and post-deployment validations.
• Configure and validate wireless controllers, access points, cloud-managed WLAN platforms, switches, and associated infrastructure.
• Develop implementation strategies, test plans, rollback procedures, and operational transition documentation.
• Enhance wireless environments and act as a senior escalation resource.
• Integrate wireless solutions with switching, routing, identity, security, segmentation, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, NAC, and identity platforms.
• Function as a trusted technical advisor and lead architecture discussions, design reviews, workshops, and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Solution Architects, Technical Project Leads, Project Managers, Delivery Operations, and engineers.
• Communicate recommendations, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.
• Mentor wireless and network engineers.
• Establish technical standards, reference architectures, methodologies, playbooks, templates, and reusable delivery assets.
• Assess technical designs and deliverables, share insights gained, evaluate emerging technologies, and assist in certification development.
• Travel to customer sites for surveys, implementations, workshops, and other project activities, including occasional after-hours maintenance windows.
• Over 8 years of experience in architecting, designing, implementing, optimizing, and troubleshooting enterprise wireless solutions.
• Profound expertise in RF engineering, WLAN architecture, and IEEE 802.11 technologies.
• Experience in Professional Services or consulting with direct customer engagement.
• Extensive background in RF design, capacity planning, roaming, voice over Wi-Fi, high-density environments, location services, and interference troubleshooting.
• Advanced hands-on proficiency with Ekahau Pro and Ekahau Sidekick.
• Experience conducting predictive, passive, active, AP-on-a-stick, validation, and spectrum-analysis surveys.
• Strong foundational knowledge in enterprise networking covering switching, routing, identity, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, TACACS+, 802.1X, and network segmentation.
• Familiarity with enterprise wireless platforms such as Cisco, Juniper Mist, Aruba, Meraki, Ruckus, Extreme, or similar technologies.
• Capability to independently lead intricate customer engagements.
• Experience in creating HLDs, LLDs, implementation plans, test plans, BOMs, and as-built documentation.
• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to the development of technical standards and best practices.
• Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Must reside in the United States.
