Senior Web Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Engage in the entire solution lifecycle from conception to deployment.

• Create, develop, and sustain efficient, reusable, and reliable code for web client-side applications.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define, design, and deliver new features.

• Produce clean and maintainable code while actively participating in code reviews.

• Detect bottlenecks and bugs, formulate solutions to resolve and minimize issues, and document work meticulously.

• Navigate existing codebases, comprehend their structures, and contribute significant work independently.

• Expand development experience and possibly contribute to other platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in developing frontend applications using JavaScript, preferably with React.

• Strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals, including common data structures.

• Expertise in semantic HTML and CSS, including preprocessors like Sass.

• Familiarity with component libraries or UI frameworks such as Material UI.

• Experience in unit and component testing utilizing tools like Jest or React Testing Library.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.

• Capability to work independently, take responsibility for assigned tasks, and deliver high-quality solutions.

• Experience using LLM tools such as Claude or ChatGPT.

• Knowledge of state management libraries such as Redux or Redux Toolkit is an advantage.

• Familiarity with TypeScript is a plus.

• Experience with Storybook is a plus.

• Understanding of Figma is an advantage.

• Experience with Playwright for integration and end-to-end testing is a bonus.

• Some experience in backend or full-stack development is a plus.

• Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.
