Senior Web Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop exceptional web experiences, guide product exploration journeys, and establish user onboarding processes.

• Design user-focused website layouts, wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and digital experiences aimed at maximizing conversions.

• Implement testing and iterative processes to enhance performance while gaining insights into customer needs and business goals.

• Take ownership of the direction and quality of projects, applying systems-level thinking across wider product and design frameworks.

• Lead UI decisions and produce designs, flows, and components that are ready for engineering implementation.

• Oversee website design from concept through user research, user flows, information architecture, visual design, and onto delivery and quality assurance.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions, reviews, and collaborate across functions.

• Keep up to date with the latest web trends, best practices, tools, and accessibility guidelines.

• Work alongside product managers, designers, copywriters, and engineers to address complex business challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in web design.

• A portfolio that showcases end-to-end ownership, impact, outcomes, and design rationale.

• Proficient in Figma, including experience with design systems and prototyping for seamless engineering handoff.

• Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Figma Make, and Gemini.

• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite.

• In-depth understanding of standard mobile design patterns for iOS and Android.

• Capability to create responsive, usable designs adhering to digital design best practices.

• Skills in brainstorming, conceptualizing, sketching, and executing high-fidelity designs.

• Proficient in articulating design concepts both verbally and visually.

• Ability to work autonomously, collaborate effectively, and engage in constructive feedback.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

• Mobile app experience is preferred.

• Background in fintech or consumer products is a plus.

• Knowledge of After Effects and other motion tools, as well as prototyping tools, is advantageous.

• Front-end development experience is preferred.
