This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Shape the strategic vision, development, and execution of comprehensive financial planning and estate strategies for high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients and their advisors.
• Continuously uphold and enhance the AssetMark philosophy and processes.
• Deliver impartial, tailored wealth planning advice based on thorough client discovery.
• Manage the team to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to foster their career growth.
• Identify analytical tools and process improvements.
• Discover new planning and estate solutions for the AssetMark platform.
• Supervise responses to inquiries and conduct presentations for financial advisors and sales teams both in-person and via webinars.
• Generate and disseminate written reports.
• Spearhead financial and estate planning strategies across the organization.
• Ensure the delivery of impactful financial plans encompassing retirement income, tax mitigation, estate transfer, business transitions, asset protection, and intricate wealth strategies.
• Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate directly with Product, Sales, and Marketing to integrate planning solutions.
• Present complex planning topics to both internal and external audiences.
• Lead and mentor senior financial planners.
• Leverage JD and CFP® expertise to create tax-efficient and estate-effective planning frameworks, tools, and resources for education.
• Develop scalable processes and frameworks.
• Act as the senior-level contact for escalated advisor cases and unique client requirements.
• Advocate for innovation in planning technology and process design.
• Partner with advisors to cultivate business opportunities.
• Collaborate on wealth strategies and advisory materials.
• A bachelor's degree and an advanced degree (e.g., JD, MST, MBA) are mandatory.
• Active CFP® and CPA certifications are required.
• A minimum of 10 years of financial planning experience, including complex engagements with HNW/UHNW clients and strategic cross-functional projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, tax strategy, and business transitions.
• Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro, Holistiplan) as well as CRM platforms like Salesforce.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and clients.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate uncertainty, prioritize competing demands, and influence without direct authority.
• Experience in financial planning, banking, investments, tax, and wealth transfer strategies.
• Must possess legal authorization to work in the US.
