This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +43 more states.
• Lead labor compliance efforts across all national geographic locations.
• Oversee intricate prevailing wage compliance responsibilities for both internal projects and multi-tier subcontractors.
• Evaluate, analyze, and audit Department of Labor classification requests along with supporting documents.
• Interpret and implement requirements related to prevailing wage, fringe benefits, apprenticeship, skilled workforce, PLA, Tri-Trade, and Two-Trade.
• Conduct proactive compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Act as the primary contact for client, third-party, and governmental audits and inquiries.
• Track regulatory updates and provide specialized guidance on labor compliance laws and enforcement trends.
• Offer escalation support, technical guidance, and troubleshooting for the Prevailing Wage Compliance Program.
• Facilitate compliance training and assist in program development.
• Monitor both potential and awarded projects to ensure adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements.
• Review contracts and collaborate with project teams, legal departments, payroll, contractors, unions, and other external stakeholders.
• Request any missing, corrected, or revised documentation and address compliance issues.
• Review, approve, and manage certified payroll submissions and associated compliance documentation.
• Submit labor compliance records to clients and governmental agencies.
• Maintain organized, audit-ready digital files, compliance tracking tools, and SharePoint repositories.
• Develop and sustain relationships with clients, project teams, contractors, unions, and third-party entities.
• Perform additional compliance and leadership duties as assigned.
• An Associate’s degree in a relevant field or a comparable combination of professional experience, training, and proven labor compliance expertise.
• At least 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in compliance for federally or state-funded construction projects.
• Experience in managing complex, multi-project settings.
• Proven track record in a lead, senior, or supervisory role.
• Advanced knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations, including the Davis-Bacon Act (DBRA) and Department of Labor (DOL) standards.
• Familiarity with prevailing wage enforcement, apprenticeship standards, mandates for a skilled and trained workforce, and public works compliance.
• Expertise in prevailing wage enforcement, certified payroll auditing, risk assessment, and labor compliance investigations.
• Experience overseeing compliance across various projects, contractors, and geographic regions.
• High proficiency in labor compliance and payroll monitoring systems, such as LCPTracker.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and collaborative tools.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to deadlines.
